Actress Gwyneth Paltrow and rocker Chris Martin now have sizeable new base in Los Angeles. The couple - who are based in London, England, with their children Apple, eight, and six-year-old Moses - are said to have paid .45million for the six bedroom, eight bathroom home. Inside photographs of the pad show dark wooden floors, white-washed walls and floor-to-ceiling windows, extra-wide entry hall with flooring made from stones from a Peruvian schoolhouse, kitchen cabinetry inspired by sycamore trees, Calacatta-marble kitchen countertops and a master dressing room with bathtub in the middle. A grey and white country themed kitchen is the perfect setting for Paltrow to try out some of her favourite nutritious recipes that she regularly shares with followers of her website GOOP. There is also plenty of dining space and seating areas for the couple to entertain their Hollywood friends. The house was built by famed architect Windsor Smith in 2011 and was initially listed for .96 million last September before being reduced recently. In October 2011, the 8,000 square foot property covered Veranda magazine, with the publication calling in a host of big-name interior designers to give the house a makeover. The home was built on sprawling grounds and lined with shady sycamores according to the website, and even has a stable. |
